Surakarta, December 11, 2025 – Students from the 2023 Geography Education class at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) successfully conducted their second Field Study Program (KKL) from November 24 to 28, 2025. This activity is an integral part of the Geography Education Study Program curriculum, aimed at deepening students’ understanding of geography through hands-on fieldwork in Lasem, Rembang Regency, Central Java. KKL II was designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, where students not only mastered theory in the classroom but were also able to observe and understand various natural and social phenomena firsthand. The field activity began with the preparation of research proposals, followed by direct research, and concluded with the compilation of analysis reports and data visualization.

A total of 78 fifth-semester students from the 2023 cohort of the Geography Education Study Program at FKIP UNS participated in this activity. The entire process was guided and supervised by experienced lecturers in their respective fields, including Dr. Moh. Gamal Rindarjono, S.Si., M.Si. and Bimo Bramantio, S.Pd., M.Sc., who provided constructive guidance and feedback.

Geography Education lecturer, Mr. Bimo Bramantio, S.Pd., M.Sc., stated, “The overall aim of this activity is to train students to think scientifically and apply the knowledge they have acquired in class to real-world practice. We hope that through this Field Work Lecture 2, students can gain skills and experience that can be applied in further studies and in the professional world, while also increasing their awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving the environment.”

Through KKL II, it is hoped that UNS Geography Education students can develop comprehensive thinking in their field of study, which will serve as important preparation for facing the increasingly complex challenges of the professional world.
